Building Science Symposium
Kent just returned from the invitation only Building Science Corporation 17th Symposium. The event is hosted by the foremost authority on Building Technology and principal of Building Science Corp, Joseph Lstiburek. Joe has over 30 years of experience in design, construction, investigation and building science research and he has worked with the Department of Energy to build higher performance across the U.S. He is also Professor of Building Science at the University of Toronto.
The focus of the symposium dealt with preventing and resolving problems related to building design, construction and operation. Three days of lectures and meeting with others who care about the buildings we design, build and live in. It is extremely important to remain up to date and educated about all aspects of these super insulated, well ventilated buildings.
We want to maintain our lead in the design of sustainable buildings which promote energy sufficiency and environmental responsibility within the constraints of marketable and affordable building technology.
